The plane belonging to Skyward Express company was transporting over 15 passengers and luckily everyone on board survived the scary accident.
According to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) boss Mr Gilbert Kibe, all passengers onboard the plane are safe with minor injuries.
By the time of publishing this article, the cause of the accident was yet to be known. However, this is not the first plane crashing around the same Boru Hache area. On March 2021, a light plane transporting exam papers crashed killing the pilot and the co-pilot.
The aircraft registration number 5Y-JKN was heading to Marsabit when the incident occurred. Bad weather around the region is among the major causes of such incidents.
The incident occurred just meters away from where a plane had crashed in 2006, killing 14 people including three ministers and four parliamentarians.
