Govt Ambulance Rams into a Matatu Along the Embu-Nairobi Highway

A tragic accident occurred on 28th july, along Embu-Nairobi highway it involved a government ambulance and a matatu full passengers.It has left 11 people people nursing injuries.

Affirming the episode, Gichugu sub-district police officer Anthony Mbogo noticed that the patient, a moderately aged lady, who was in the rescue vehicle, was not harmed. 

He further noticed that 11 individuals supported wounds remembering the nine travelers for the matatu who were going to Embu from Nairobi. 

It is accepted that the rescue vehicle smashed into the matatu since its hood was harmed just as the backside of matatu. 

The rescue vehicle, which is possessed by Kirinyaga County Government, was taking the patient to Kerugoya Hospital from Embu. 

"I called my officials to the scene soon after the mishap where 11 individuals were taken to Embu emergency clinic. 

"The patient who was a moderately aged lady was not harmed ,officials ensured everything was protected," expressed the Sub-province Commander. 

The matatu is joined to NENO Sacco. 

The patients who supported genuine wounds were taken to Embu Hospital for treatment. 

Fatalities from street mishaps have been on a vertical pattern this year with 710 individuals having lost their lives in a range of two months starting January 2021. 

Government Spokesman Cyrus Oguna, while delivering the figures in March 2021, noticed that the state was worried about the increment which was a spike from the earlier year's figure that remained at 562 for a similar period.
