The National Police Service team have recently arrested dozens of Kenyans in one of the towns in Nairobi County. The multi-security agencies have done a crackdown in Kitengela and more that 30 revellers have be arrested. The operation was to root out illegal liquor and nightclubs violating set operations time. They raided clubs operating with closed doors and hoodwinks. The authority in the area has stated that there is an influx of unlicensed and illegal alcohol being sold in various satellite towns in county of Kajiado .
The crackdown is also targeting Changaa and Busaa brewing dens. One of the officers addressed the residents and told them that they should not take alcohol in the morning but can start drinking from 3.00 pm in the evening. He said that the police will not relent in the fight against illicit brews. In his remarks he said, "Msikunywe pombe asubuhi ... pombe unafaa kunywa kuanzia saa tisa"
