Marriage is one of the most important rites of passage and not only marriage as a whole but the person one has to marry.

The society today has become so fair in that the man and the woman are the ones supposed to make the decision of chosing whom they wish to marry. Unlike in the past where parents would chose partners for their children, now children look for partners whom they want to spend the rest of their life with.

The reason why the decision to marry is so important is because it is a lifetime commitment and some have even said it is like a form of imprisonment where one has to stay with one person the rest of their lives. The only legal grounds for separation are death from a biblical point of view.

Reports have however indicated that arranged marriages which is considered to be a thing of the past tend to work more than people meeting all by themselves. This however narrows down to individuals because there are some that have worked and some haven't.

In today's article, we are going to look at one of the most amazing couple in the country and to be specific a Kenyan lady who married a man from the Phillippines.

We are at an age where interracial marriages have become common and race is no longer a barrier when it comes to marriage. Elizabeth Muyu is the name of the beautiful Kenyan lady that has proved interracial marriage can really work.

Elizabeth Muyu got married to the now love of her life Solomon Ocampo. The most amazing thing about their marriage is that it was planned by their parents and none of them had ever thought they would end up together even though they knew each other as family friends.

The two never actually dated as many would do. They were simply told by parent that they are meant to be together and they decided to pray about it to see the will of God.

The story of how the two met is very interested. Ocampo and his parents came to Kenya years ago as missionaries. When the family came to Kenya from the Phillippines, one of the family's they knew first was Elizabeth Muyu's family but then Elizabeth was in the states in a bible school.

Ocampo had never thought of marrying a Kenyan Woman let alone an African woman as that is not a common thing in their culture. Elizabeth also had her own taste of an ideal man and wanted the man to be a pastor but had never thought it would be someone from a different part of the world.

It was on one of the family events that the father of Ocampo told they two of the revelation he had received a revelation from God and that the two were meant to be one. Ocampo was surprised but that was not a new thing because some of his elder brothers found their partners in similar ways. For Elizabeth being Kenyan, that was something she has never seen but the two just decided to ask God whether it was his will.

For Elizabeth, it was not an easy decision and she was not fully convinced about it. Ocampo for his part received a conviction from God and knew she was the one and now became determined to fight for her. The fight for her bore fruits and not long after they got married and now have 3 lovely kids. The two have been together for 7 years.

Elizabeth Muyu admits that even on the wedding day she was not fully convinced whether she loved the man but as they have grown together she realized that the she continues to love him even more. They also had a first official date after their wedding.
