Marriage is an institution that according to the Bible was started by God at the garden of Eden.
It was intended to bring people of the opposite sex together for procreation and companionship.
Currently, the institution is facing a lot of challenges evidenced by the high number of divorce cases and domestic violence and even Murder related to love issues.
That the crimes of passion have been dorminating the airwaves is a fact that can't be denied.
Nevertheless, there are other Kenyans who are Lucky to have healthy marriages that have stood the test of time.
Such a lucky Kenyan is makueni governor professor Kivutha kibwana who is celebrating 43 years in marriage today.
Taking to his Twitter account, the governor admited that although they have shared God's love together as a couple, there has been ups and downs in their Union.
"Celebrating our 43 marriage anniversary today. Married at 24. We have shared God's love with each other. Plenty of love's UPs & some DOWNs." Said kibwana on Twitter.
This comes at a time when his Machakos counterpart Dr Alfred Mutua is facing a turbulence on matters love following his parting away with his wife Lilian Nganga who has since moved on.
Kenyans who reacted online hilariously asked professor to go and advise the Machakos boss given that he has managed 43 years in marriage.
