During the church service at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Milimani estate at Nakuru, Winnie Odhiambo penned down an emotional tribute to her husband. She went ahead to explain the major loss that has befallen her leaving her with nothing to hold on. The two were health officers where they appear to have first met while on duty before marrying.
This was revealed by Dr. Gakara's wife who quoted the following words, "I was a clinical officer intern. On my fourth day of maternity rotation in February 2014, we examined a patient and agreed she needed an emergency Caesarian Section, my first surgery.," Winnie told the mourners.
Winnie explained how shaken and hesitant she was thinking Dr. Gakara was going to shout at her because of how she approached the patient.
Winnie said Dr. Gakara looked at her calmly and comforted her telling her not to be worried because he was there to teach her what to do. The two ended up in love as they were officially united on November 25th of 2015.
