Being used is never a good feeling, but unfortunately, it can happen in sneaky ways.

If it's all about them and never about you, that's a good way to tell that they might be using your relationship for their own benefit.

Though having an honest conversation with them might sometimes help sort out the issues, if you get the impression that there's something one-sided about your relationship, ignoring it is only going to make things tougher on you in the long-run.

Here are signs that your partner is only using you in a relationship.

1.They are only ever kind to you when they want something.

They don’t treat you nicely unless they are trying to get you to do something for them. They’re just trying to make it seem like they genuinely care about you when all they care about is what you can do for them.

2.They make you feel resented whenever you don’t follow through.

They guilt you whenever you are unable to deliver. Whenever you try to refuse doing them a favor, they’re going to make it feel like you have just done a great injustice towards them. They are really going to guilt you in order to manipulate you.

3.You Feel Uneasy Around Them

Do you get jittery? Do you tense up? Do you feel angry for seemingly no reason? Physical and emotional reactions like these might be a sign your partner doesn’t have your best interests at heart, even if you can’t put a finger on why.

4.They always want to borrow money.

We all need a helping hand with finances from time to time, and it’s never a problem to help a friend out once or twice.

But a serial borrower is a different matter.

If there are repeated requests to help out, whether it’s just a few dollars here or there or larger sums, you should definitely be wary.

5.They break Promises

You are not seen as a priority and they view you as a bit of a push-over, who won’t make trouble even when you’re constantly disappointed by their breach of trust.
