Joan Lebene from Marigat village in Baringo South had just finished her form four education when she got a job at a nearby town center to work in a cyber Cafe.

She met a friend by the name of Ben Kiplimo who offered to leave her to work occupy a rental house since he had gotten another job in another town where he was planning to get a new house.

She took up the offer and even started servicing the rent as if it was hers. However, after a few months, Kiplimo came back and asked her to be his wife. She turned him down since she wanted to continue with her education thus marriage was not an option for her at that time.

Kiplimo then came back unannounced a few weeks later and found her relaxing with a female friend. He asked if he could speak with her privately but she objected and suggested of they could speak while escorting her friend. He agreed to this.

She went to take a bath but when she came out the room was dark with curtains closed. Immediately Kiplimo started attacking her. She tried to run but he caught her and started stabbing her in the neck and ribs.

By this time her friend had scampered for safety. He only stopped stabbing her when he thought she was dead. A passerby saw her in a pool of blood and mobilized transport to be rushed to the hospital.

She was able to survive the attack but her life has never been the same. Her body is full of sorer because of spending time in the wheelchair.

The man managed to run for some time but was arrested recently and is set to be charged with attempted murder.

Meanwhile, share with us your thoughts on the matter kindly.
