When anybody moves into a relationship, the obvious motive is for the relationship to be long lasting, happy and successful. But that is not always the case, some relationships always fail to stand the tests of hard times and are hence short lived resulting to break ups.
In this article, I'll share with you some of the early indicators that a relationship won't last for a long time.
A productive relationship majors on good communication as one of it's building pillars. Nonetheless, at the beginning of a relationship if your partner communicates less frequently to you, it could be a sign that he/she doesn't make you a priority. This is a sure red flag that your union won't last for long.
Your ideas are not valued
In a healthy relationship, mutual understanding and respect among the partners is important. If your partner never values your opinion and ideas then this is an indication that you won't make a great companion in the long run.
You are always on different pages
Being on the same page means you share basic overall picture of how you want your destiny and lives to unfold. This means that you should share the same views concerning your social life as issues related to family, religion, lifestyle etc. Reading from different pages would lead to partners having different aspirations in life that would in the long run lead to break ups.
You understand their mistakes but they never understand yours
Understanding and accepting each other's fault is one way if accepting your partner, this means you accept them with their weaknesses and mistakes altogether. If this becomes one way and isn't reciprocated among the partners, it leads to unhealthy relationship.
You feel like you can't be yourself
In long lasting relationships, partners should always be in their genuine and authentic selves around each other. If the relationship is still young, it might take time for partners to be free with themselves. But if you find yourself pretending too much, that's a sign of a short term relationship.
