A dramatic scene was witnessed in the Mochache area in Kisii county after the bridegroom kissed his wife to suffocation.
According to Lemiso Sato, a blogger who enjoys massive social media following, the congregants in Mochache church were eagerly waiting to witness the two love birds as they exchange vows, in a colorful wedding.
The groom identified as Benjamin Omoke kissed her bride, Mercy Mokeira who is 29 years old after the presiding pastor asked him to do so. In the process of kissing, Mercy was deprived of oxygen which led to her unconsciousness.
Mercy later was rushed to Kisii County referral hospital where she was diagnosed with a condition called asphyxiation. The doctor said that the condition was a result of a lack of breath. The wedding ceremony was forced to end prematurely.
