"They are lovers, one is at the front desk and the other one is at the back office and they are intimate," Manjari told the court.
The suspended KEMSA CEO Mr. Jonah Manjari has been linked to a 7.8 billion procurement scam at the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency. Appearing before the public investment committee in parliament, he denied the allegations saying he is not to blame for the loss of any money at the agency but instead blamed his colleagues for the mess.
Responding to allegations made by suspended finance director Charles Juma and his secretary that he instructed for back dating of a letter; Manjari accused the two of being secret lovers working together to tarnish his name. He further stated that the two were just doing self-cleansing and using him as a scape goat. This came only a day after the senate health committee accused him of running a one person show at the agency.
