The rate at which marriages in the country are marred by conflicts is so alarming that couples are living in fear of raising issues to their partners.
According to Citizen TV news reports, the unidentified man hacked his wife using a sharp machete on Saturday evening after a conflict which they could have resolved peacefully.
The wife succumbed to injuries as she was being rushed to Kaplong hospital. The 38 years old who had evaded arrest was found hanging from a tree this morning.
The Area chief, Mr Geoffrey Baretiet confirmed the incident as he stated that the 38 years old man had attempted to kill himself by taking poison which backfired.
The only way he could end his life was by hanging himself. The bodies of the two were moved to Kapkatet mortuary for preservation as funeral arrangements are made.
Officers have advised couple to always engage a third party if they have some disagreement because if they solve it on their own, some unfortunate things might happen.
May they rest in peace.
