Dorothy Nyong'o has lived it all, seen it all and conquered life obstacles alongside her husband who happens to be Kisumu's county governor.
Their love story goes beyond walking down the aisle to caring for each other through thick and thin. Mrs Dorothy has also been recognized all over the world for her role in the fight against cancer in Africa. Her accolades speak for themselves as she has bagged several awards under her belt for her stand with cancer victims in Africa.
Back in 2019, Kisumu's first lady Mrs Dorothy Nyong'o won the Harvard Global Health Catalyst Cancer Advocacy Champion Award. The following year 2020, she was recognized together with her world class actor daughter Lupita Nyong'o for the Visionary Lineage Award By Harlem School of Arts, USA.
And this year 2021, Mrs Dorothy Nyong'o was awarded the Woman of Magnitude Awards(WOMA). Aside from her life accomplishments, Mrs Dorothy is the managing director and trustee of Africa Cancer Foundation (ACF). Her love for her husband is evident as she has managed to accompany her husband to various state functions both within the country and abroad.
