The one Kenya Alliance is perceived by analysts as an emerging third force ahead of the next year's general election.
In a meeting last week on Tuesday, the Alliance principals ressolved to pull out of their respective Coalitions before changing OKA Alliance into a coalition.
So far, Musalia Mudavadi's ANC and kalonzo Musyoka's wiper have already pulled out of NASA while ford Kenya is in the process.
Nevertheless, the bid to make OKA strong so that it can offer serious competition come 2022 received a huge blow today following Gideon Moi's refusal to disangage from jubilee as earlier agreed.
Addressing the media today, KANU's secretary general Nick Salat said that KANU is still in a working agreement with jubilee and will not pull out any time soon.
Instead, he called upon Kalonzo and Mudavadi to join jubilee and support president Uhuru Kenyatta in uniting the country.
For a party to form a coalition with another one, it must disangage from previous agreements.
According to Salat, KANU's NEC meeting advised that the party continues to work with jubilee until the next year's general election and even beyond.
This latest development will be a big setback to the remaining principals of OKA who had indicated their dissatisfaction with the manner in which ODM treated them.
Nevertheless, KANU's move is willing be good news to Raila Odinga who remains largely isolated after NASA fallout.
Raila is banking on Jubilee's support to ascend to the house on the hill and with KANU around, he must be a happy man. Already, there are plans to to unite ODM and jubilee and even form a coalition.
