Why Parents From This Country Bury Their Children Alive In Cow Dung During Solar Eclipse (Photos)

The Karnataka is a south Indian State of Karnataka, once part of several kingdoms and princely states of repute in the Deccan peninsula, is rich in its historic, cultural and anthropological heritage. The State is the home to 42,48,987 tribal people, of whom 50,870 belong to the primitive group.

People from this state have this bizarre and dangerous superstition that once they bury their disabled children in dirt or cow dug during the solar eclipse, they get cured from their disabilities.

According the villagers, the are usually advised to do so by their elders. Although the practice was brought to halt back in 2019 through the intervention of the police, it is still practiced in some few communities.
