NASA to be dissolved as leaders come to terms with sad reality

Top political parties that formed National Super Alliance (NASA) want it dissolved. The parties which include the Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) , Amani National Alliance (ANC) and Ford Kenya have each resolved to write to the registrar of political parties to officially sever ties with NASA, and strengthen their new home The One Kenya Alliance (OKA).

The leaders of the named parties have been at loggerheads, accusing ODM of refusing to share the political parties funds as per Section 13(b) of NASA agreement. According to the National Super Alliance agreement, it stands dissolved if three affiliate parties leave. The three principals today said they had resolved to pull out of NASA, a decision likely to collapse the coalition that sponsored Raila for the top seat in the 2017 presidential race.

Should Nasa be dissolved, major casualties would be Wiper’s Benson Momanyi and ANC’s George Khaniri who would have to lose their positions in the powerful Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC).
