The Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology Blue Economy Research Hub in Siaya county Bondo constituency has received praise from the recently-retired Kisii governor James Ongwae.

"The JOOUST Blue Ecomony Research Hub has been formally inaugurated in Siaya County. The JOOUST institution will be a pillar institution for all counties in our circuit." A few time after the project's official launch, the former governor wrote something on his official social media channels.

But he added that the Nyanza region's decision to back President William Ruto is a definite sign that the nation is headed in the right direction.

"When the Kenya-UK health alliance project is over, I hope to have established a comparable Hub center at Kisii County under Kisii University. The trajectory of Our Country is sound." Additionally, the former governor.

The former governor, who had been a strong associate of previous prime minister Raila Odinga, switched sides and expressed his support for president William Ruto and his administration, saying that they planned to advocate for regional development.
