Muigai Wa Njoroge a renown Kikuyu gospel musician and a social media influencer has blasted the church following the type of circumcision they are offering to the society.
According to him, he said that the church should leave circumcision to the elders of Kikuyu community who will advise the boy on how to achieve their goals, live in marriage and how to deal with the cruel world.
He added that the church is now using circumcision as business despite it being a very important rite of passage in Kikuyu community and all they ask is when a boy will attain fourteen years for them to circumcise him.
He said there is no way a church will charge a single mother fourteen thousand and above to circumcise her child and end up staying with him for only eight days without making him a man in mind which is becoming a challenge to the society.
He has therefore called upon men to stand up and circumcise their boys and not to leave the task to women since a Kikuyu woman will never circumcise his child no matter the circumstance.
He also called upon the community to come up with a syllabus full of values that the children should be taught when going through the right of passage since the church is teaching small children excessive detailed information which they can't even comprehend.
