Netizens have been left in dismay after a man allegedly baptised in PCEA Zimmerman church steals equipments while worshippers are deep in prayers.
David Wanyonyi Simiyu, the culprit, allegedly gave his life to Christ on the day of the incident. While congregants were deep in prayers, Simiyu stole all the recently bought media equipment in the church amounting to ksh 1 million.
When the prayers ended and the worshippers were in for a rude shock since nothing was left behind. The management of the church reported the incident to the police who immediately launched investigation.
While using forensic technology, the police revealed that the thief was Simiyu, a new member in the church. The police launched a manhunt for the culprit and was nabbed while selling the stolen goods to his three accomplices.
The four were taken to the police station awaiting to be arraigned in court once investigation are over.
