Why Catholics Refer to Virgin Mary As Mother Of God

Jesus Christ, as the Scriptures say, He is the sole source salvation to humanity. Jesus also created the bridge between God and human being, unlike during the Old Testament when the prophets served as the link between God and the people.

The Catholic Church has gone some miles ahead by not only adoring Jesus Christ as the savior of human race but also embracing the sacred and holiness of Virgin Mary who was the mother of Jesus Christ. For Catholics, Jesus is one who stand in the position of the God the Son in the Holy Trinity. This is to mean that God himself descended from Heaven in the form of human being.

For this reason, as it is written, the Holy Trinity is inseparable. This is to say that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit work together. The Church Dogma has therefore in a special and honored way regarded Virgin Mary as the Mother of God as she got pregnant by the power of the Holy Spirit and gave birth to God the Son.
