Kakamega Catholic Church Sends This Crucial Message To All Faithfuls

The priesthood is one of the three holy orders of the Catholic Church, comprising the ordained priest. The other two orders are the bishops and the decons.

For one to become a priest in catholic church it requires sacrifice and patience. All priest undergo vigorous training for four years of study in theology at a seminary. After graduation from the seminary, the priest serves for roughly one year as a transitional deacon. It typically takes five years from college graduation to ordainment, provided the priest has studied philosophy at the undergraduate level.

Catholic Diocese of Kakamega wishes to invite all catholic faithfuls to priestly ordination Rev. Dec. Geoffrey Stanley Oside which will take place at St. Peter's minor seminary in Saturday 20th March 2021.

The ordination will be presided by His Holiness Rt. Rev. Joseph Obanyi Sagwe, the bishop of Catholic Diocese of Kakamega.

There will be thanks giving Mass at Hambale Parish on Sunday 21st March 2021.

O Jesus, our great High Priest, hear my humble prayers on behalf of Rev. Dec. Geoffrey, Father Give him a deep faith, a bright and firm hope, and a burning love which will ever increase in the course of his priestly life. Amen
