Stephen Kamau, a young man from Nyandarua County, has resolved to alter his life by handing over 20,000 bhang rolls to a Kinangop church.

He explained to the group that he made money by peddling the rolls for Ksh 50 each, a company he ran with 7 of his coworkers.

"I'm returning 20,000 rolls which I used to sell today. I sold one roll at fifty shillings. It all comes down to a million shillings, and I don't give a damn about the money I've lost by giving up the bhang "he explained.

He continued, "I used to work with a crew of seven."

He went on to claim that they have all resolved to change and that they are trusting God to help them.

The young man and his pals decided to quit the illicit trade on their own initiative, which satisfied the pastor and the congregation.

Hundreds of parents have expressed their delight at the news, claiming that a large number of young people in the neighborhood have been smoking and selling the drug, forsaking responsible behavior.

The bhang was taken to the Nyandarua police station before being burned in front of the Engineer Stadium as testimony that the young guys had changed their ways and stopped doing illegal business.
