President Ruto Rejects Bishop's Request on Tax Waiver, Explains Why it's not Possible [Video]

President William Ruto went to Bomet County for a church service and the bishop who presided over the sermon requested him to waive taxes to make life easy for most Kenyans.
President Ruto responded to him when he was given a chance to speak saying that he cannot waive taxes because of a number of reasons.
He reminded the bishop about the promises he made to Kenyans such as road construction, water, among other projects.
That he cannot fulfill that if Kenyans fail to pay taxes. He promised the bishop that he will look for other ways to help Kenyans without involving taxes.
According to president Ruto, no Kenyan is too special to evade tax payment. He hilariously said that tall, short, fat and thin people will all take part in building our country through tax payment.
The bishop probably made that request because of how most Kenyans are suffering due to the high cost of living. Let us hope the president will do something about it.
