Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins, and if you put your faith in Him, you will be saved. Most of us, on the other hand, are content with knowing that Jesus died for our sins and have never investigated what the 'INRI' inscription on the cross actually means. Everyone could read the words because they were positioned directly above his head. He gave the order to place the plate to cement his verdict that Jesus disobeyed divine teaching.
The initials "INRI" stand for "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews," which is Latin for "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews." It established Jesus as a respected Jewish figure who converted to Christianity. It was Pontius Pilate's idea, and the soldiers carried it out without question.
After he was nailed to the wall, a critical epitaph was placed above his head. Only until the entire planet was plunged into darkness did they realize he was the Messiah. They were shocked and horrified by what they had done to Jesus, and they could not believe what they had done. They realized at that instant that they had seen the son of God.
Even though Pilate's accusation was supposed to be hurtful, the shortened version serves as a constant reminder that Jesus is indeed our king and that he came to free us from sin and death. Jesus Christ, whose throne was the cross, rules with mercy and love.
