
On May 26th, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto together with other party leaders arrived at Safari Park hotel to attend the 19th National Prayer breakfast.
Though the tiff between the Head of state and his deputy, William Ruto borough a bit of tension in the house two were spotted seating at different tables against the tradition of their other National Prayer breakfast.
Former Prime minister Raila Odinga did not attend the prayer event and this was represented by his presidential deputy candidate lawmaker, Martha Karua.
During the speech, Deputy President William Ruto and Narc party leader, Martha Karua was spotted from their words misquoting the Bible.
As Deputy William Ruto was delivering his speech, he phrased a Bible verse in the book of Isaiah 1:18, "We have fallen short." Isaiah 1:18 reads, "Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord."
On the other hand, the lawmaker said she is not good at quoting the Bible and all she said was, "Prayers without actions are not real." James 2:26 reads, "Faith without actions is dead."
