What Bishop Migwi Said About 2022 Presidency That Has Resurfaced After His Death [Video]

Eleven months after Bishop Godfrey Migwi hosting Deputy President William Ruto at his Kayole based House Of Hope Church in Embakasi Central Constituency for a fellowship, the country received the saddening news of his demise today on December 2nd.

The bold and vocal Bishop who hosted the DP on the Sunday of January 10th this year used the day not only to evangelize the word of God to the DP and other politicians that had accompanied him but also to drum up support for our second in command ahead of next year's elections.

Among other things that he touched on while drumming up support for the DP on that day, Bishop Migwi took on President Uhuru's remarks that maybe this country needs a president from another community apart from his community and that of DP Ruto.

In his own words, the bishop said that "some people are angry because Deputy President William Ruto is gaining popularity and they're trying to fight that by talking about communities.

They have forgotten that when we go into elections, we don't vote for communities but rather we vote for individuals.

When President Mwai was going home after end of his term, didn't he (Uhuru Kenyatta) know that it's community that's ruling?

He should have said at that time that let's leave it for another community. However, it's the same community of Kibaki that is ruling today.

We know they are only saying that let another community lead because it is time for a nobody's son to lead this country. As preachers, we have refused this! We vote for individuals not communities!"

In the aftermath of the bishop's death, Deputy President William Ruto has remembered him for his boldness and bravery when it comes to speaking his mind.

In a condolence message shared on Facebook in the morning of today on December 2nd, the DP wrote that "Bishop Godfrey Migwi was a bold, vocal and powerful spiritual leader with great sense of humour".

He also remembered him as having been "a mentor and a friend with firm pastoral faith that he infused to many of us."
