The Taita Taveta Honorable Granton Samboja during an interview with Milele FM on Wednesday condemned the politicians who have been using the opportunities given by the church to sell their campaigns and spread the hate speech to their opponents. Governor Samboja appreciated the decision that has been recently taken by the Church leaders to prevent the politicians from accessing the Church pulpits to address the Congregation.
However, the Governor has exposed the Clergy for being hypocrites and money oriented. He allegedly claimed that most of the Church leaders purposively invites the politicians in the Church to be given the 'brown envelopes' and cheques. These leaders will always not be concerned about the speech that would be delivered by the politicians.
Being also a politician, Samboja condemned the politicians for taking the advantage of those with the problems in the society to drive their campaign agenda such as at the funeral ceremony. He therefore urged all the politicians to respect the Church pulpit.
