Sakaja Reacts After PS Started His Speech With a Bible Verse at Starehe

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja did not remain silent after Housing and Urban Development PS Charles Hinga Mwaura quoted a Bible verse during an event presided over by President William Ruto.

Sakaja praised the PS and as he lauded the affordable housing project that was being launched by President Ruto in Starehe, Nairobi County.

The governor said for PS Mwaura to read a Bible verse, the project is transformational and will help Kenyans get better and cheap houses.

“Today I have heard PS Mwaura reading the Bible, this project is truly transformational. If Hinga Mwaura is going to the Bible and verses, it is amazing,” said Sakaja.

When PS Mwaura was invited to speak during the event, he told President Ruto that he was going to start his speech by reading a Bible verse.

The PS read Isaiah 32:18 as he explained that in the Bible it is written that people should be living in a secure and peaceful area.

Mwaura excited the crowd as he lauded the project saying what the government is doing, building better housing units for Kenyans, is biblical since its written in the Bible that people should abide in peaceful habitation.

And President Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua being religious, Mwaura said he is not surprised why the President is pushing for this project in different counties.

“Your excellency allow me to begin by reading a scripture, in the book of Isaiah 32:18 it says, my people will abide in peaceful habitation, in secure dwelling and in quiet resting places. Your Excellency, today’s activity is also biblical and no wonder this matter of affordable housing is close to your heart,” said Mwaura.
