"Nothing You Say Will Stop Me," DP Ruto Unapologetically Vows To Keep Taking Money To Church

In a speech delivered from 'The New Breed City' Chapel that's located along Kiambu Road in Kiambu County where he had joined its congregants for a fellowship while being hosted by Bishop Erick Mwangi today on July 11th, Deputy President William Ruto told off leaders that have been criticizing his church visits and donations as he insisted that no one will ever make him stop worshipping the Lord in his preferred way.

The DP who was really been impressed by the way congregants of that church worship as well as the way Bishop Eric Mwangi preached and the scripture that he delivered today passionately talked of how Kenya's success has been courtesy of God's mercies and blessings which shouldn't be taken for granted.

He even noted that in 2013, the bishop and other preachers had prayed for him and President Uhuru Kenyatta when they were seeking to form a Government and it's out of those prayers that the current administration has achieved so much in terms of development.

"I want to thank you bishop for praying for us, for praying for the leaders of this country. Nine years ago, we were in Ruiru and you together with other bishops prayed for us and I want to give a firsthand testimony that your prayers didn't go in vain. God has been on our side and it has taken God's hand to bring Kenya to this far," he said.

That " the achievements we've made so far from building thousands of kilometers of tarmac roads, the Standard Gauge Railway, connecting 8 million Kenyans to electricity and building 140 Technical Training Colleges have been courtesy of God's hand."

He therefore said that "we are unashamed and unapologetic about our faith in God. Many things have been said about us, some people even have a problem with the way we worship and have accused us with various allegations but we will not stop!"

"In fact, we are looking for the day when we'll not be taking thousands or millions but billions of shillings to church," he said.

His motive for this being that God gave him what he has and that he won't be ashamed of thanking Him in his preferred way. That "for our friends, please understand that we were not people without God. We didn't have God fathers but had God the father."

"Allow us to worship God the way we should and we also believe God is going to give us the next Government that's going to respect the church," he said.
