"Why is our girl silent? Is she okay?" The family of Leah Wangari Maina is worried.
Their daughter went to Iraq in October 2021 to seek greener pastures, but they have been unable to reach her on the phone for the whole of this year.
Leah's eldest sister, Miriam Muthoni, says their sibling had shared concerns over working conditions before her phone went off.
