Do the Roman Catholics worship mary?

Devotion to the Virgin Mary is a characteristic of Catholic faithfuls but is downplayed in Protestant churches which views worshipping Mary as taking away from the devotion to Jesus

Mary has always been a central figure to Christianity but many people, Protestants particularly, object to the figure that Mary has become. Protestants always think that She is seen as a goddess figure, by the roman catholic faithfuls but the reality is Catholics see mary as a human being and NOT GOD, but nevertheless, she was a human being in a very important and intimate place in the story of Jesus. Catholic devotion to Mary is nothing more than a logical extension of a child’s personal affection for her own mother.

ASK YOUR MOTHER TO PRAY FOR YOU AND NO ONE BATS AN EYE. ASK THE VIRGIN MARY TO PRAY FOR YOU AND EVERYONE LOOSES THEIR MIND. Catholic faithfuls are always heavily criticized for asking Mary to intercede for them bringing a misconception that catholics worship mary.

CATHOLICS DO NOT WORSHIP MARY LET IT SINK IN. Catholics believe that adoration and worship are due to God alone. The Roman Catholic Church absolutely forbids the worship of anyone or anything besides Yahweh, who is the Holy Trinity (Father, Son and Holy spirit). When Catholics pray to Mary they are not worshiping her, rather they are honoring her and asking for her intercession on their behalf. it’s the quickest way to Jesus

I deeply pity the Christian who overlook Marys position and honour in the courts of heaven. For the Catholic faithfuls Mary is just heavenly advocate who intercedes for them but NOT WORSHIPED. " the blessed Virgin Mary pray for us sinners now until the hour of our death. Amen"
