Pastor Allegedly Advices House Help to Steal Sh.460K from her Employer in Exchange of Miracles in her Family

A house help who was arrested for stealing Ksh. 460, 000 admitted to her crimes revealing what pushed her to steal the money.

According to Faith Ondisa, she stole the money from her employer in Lavington, Nairobi after her pastor encouraged her to do so in exchange for miracles in her family.

Kibera Law court Senior Magistrate William Tulel who presided over the hearing was told by Mr. Mwatika, Ondisa's employer that on a material day they returned home only to find her missing.

Upon enquiring of her whereabouts from the security guards, Mwatika was told that she left with a huge suitcase which she claimed she was taking for repairs.

Immediately, Mwatika rushed to her safe box where she had hidden the money only to find it missing and reported the matter to the police who tracked Ondisa at her Donholm residence.

She was later arrested and upon interrogation, she revealed that she was scammed by her pastor who had requested her to steal the money.

Ondisa told the court that after handing over the money to the pastor, he further requested her phone before requesting her to walk away without looking back and to wait for a few days before the miracles could start happening.

Pleading with the court for a lenient sentence, Ondisa said that she was not in her right mind when she was committing the crime.

Tulel sentenced her to two years in prison.
