Mixed Reactions As Pope Francis Says the Church is Celebrating Virgin Mary's Birthday

The Catholic Pope Francis on Wednesday led the Catholics and all the Christians to celebrate the birth of the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus Christ. He said on his twitter account, "Today as we celebrate the Birth of Mary, let us ask our Mother to help us rediscover the beauty of being God's children, overcoming differences and conflicts, to live as brothers and sisters." Pope Francis' request comes a time when the world is facing the insecurity crisis such as in Afghanistan in the hands of Taliban's.

The Catholic Church always adore and respect Virgin Mary as the Mother of Jesus Christ, the saviour of the humanity. The Catholic Doctrines and dogmas holds that Mary mother of God intercedes for their prayers and for these reasons the Church has set specific dates to celebrate her holy life on Earth.

However, due to varied beliefs among the world religions these dogmas have received objection and opposition. The Wednesday's tweet received criticism since there is nowhere in the Holy Scriptures where the Birth of Virgin Mary was recorded. Here are people's reactions.
