What The Bible Says About Wealth and Riches

Appreciating your material wealth as a blessing from God and using it to glorify Him is one thing, but if it separates you from God then that's another thing.

In my article today, I will be talking about wealth and riches with reference to the Bible. Kindly read until the end.

Instructions to the rich.

1 Timothy 6:17-18 says that, command those who are rich in this world not to be proud. Wealth is so uncertain. Command those who are rich to put their hope in God. He richly provides us with everything to enjoy.

Command the rich to do what is good. Tell them to do good things. They must give freely. They must be willing to share.

The following verse from the Bible, is telling us to do the following things.

1)We should not be arrogant.

When we work hard and become successful in life, we should not think of ourselves better than others because of what we have achieved. In Deuteronomy 8:18 says that, But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth.

2) When you are rich do good deeds.

A good deed is a voluntary act towards another person. The Bible tells us to do good deeds to other people as a fruit of our salvation. In Ephesians 2:10 says that, for we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works.

3) Don't Put your hope in wealth.

We should not put our hope in worldly riches, but we should always look to God for it is where our hope comes from.

4) Be generous and willing to share.

The willingness to share is what makes God to add as even more blessing. So when we share, we should share with generosity.

Conclusion.

I pray that anyone reading this article, will be blessed and he or she will enjoy the good things God has set in his or her path.
