Garissa township member of parliament Aden Duale has send a message of condolences to the family and friends of Mzee Ibrahim Hussein.
Through his official Facebook page Duale described the deceased as a role model and was involved in community based activities.
"Inna Lillahi Wa Inna ilayhi raj'iun (We surely belong to Allah and Him, we shall return). Following the death of Mzee Ibrahim Hussein (Ibrahim Dere) in Nairobi. He was a renowned Muslim leader, community elder, educationist, former chair of Teacher service commission and current chair of Eastleigh Business Council," he said.
The deceased was involved in Community peace building and was a voice of our community.
Duale is a staunch supporter of the deputy president William Samoei Ruto.
"He was my role model, a father, and was my partner in advocating for the welfare and interest of the Eastleigh business community. His Jaanaza prayers and burial will be held at Masjid Noor and Langata Muslim Cemetery respectively in Nairobi. May Almighty Allah dwell her in Jannatul firdowas and grant his family patience,"
Kenyans used his post to send their messages of condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
