Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i pledged to build a house for a Kisii widow, and he has made impressive progress just a week after construction began.
Photos of Nyaboke's new home shared online showed that the house was almost nearing completion just over a week after construction started.
Workers could be seen walking around putting the finishing touches on the main house's walls and an adjacent structure, presumably the kitchen.
The remaining bits of the house, built on the hilly slopes of Kisii, include the roof, plastering, installation of doors and windows, flooring and finishing touches.
The CS said that he would also furnish the house for Nyaboke and her family and buy food for them
