"Conjestina Doesn't Need Prophets" Popular Journalist Says, Recommends What Should Be Done

BBC presenter Ciru Muriuki has elicited mixed reactions after stating that former Boxer Conjestina does not require to be taken to a prophet or pastor for prayers.

Ciru insisted that Conjestina needs to be taken to a proper hospital to be assessed and also meet with a psychiatrist for inpatient pychosocial therapy and support.

Ciru's comment came hours after former Nairobi county Governor Mike Sonko said that he offered his car to transport Conjestina to Mombasa to a prophet who will pray for her.

Her family members earlier suggested that she should be taken to a prophet for prayers since they have tried taking her to several hospitals but nothing has ever worked.

Conjestina has been battling mental health issues since 2011. She was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder.

Last year, there were reports that she set her house on fire.

Recently, a photo of her looking devastated went viral on social media. She was living in the streets of Siaya county and begging.
