Churches Are Now Operating On Credits Due To Lockdown

Churches have been operating on credit since President Uhuru Kenyatta announced another lockdown on March 26.

Uhuru announced that Nairobi and four other counties that are highly affected by Covid 19 will be placed under lockdown. He also banned public gatherings such as political meetings and going to churches.

Now churches have turned to digital forms of offering. But the church member is not willing to offer because they have also lost their jobs due to Covid 19 and the lockdown over the 5 counties.

Other pastors across the country have also addressed the matter. Most of them are claiming that they do not have enough funds to run the churches because there is no offering or tithes.

Many church programs have been canceled due to Covid 19 this is according to Bishop Daniel Chemo of The Full Gospel Churches Of Kenya.

The churches are pleading with the president to uplift the lockdown and let the local Kenyan do business again.
