Challenges in life are faced by every human beings in existence.A Catholic Priest Peter Githinji narrates to Monica Kagoni the struggle of becaming a priest.
Peter was born and raised in Nyeri county.Since from his childhood he loved serving God.He started as altar boy and eventually ended joining the seminary school to be a priest.
According to Peter priesthood is journey and only those with a call from God make.While in seminary school he studied for the first eight years then promoted to a Decon.He served as a Decon for three years.
"My friends were later promoted to priest position while we waited for one to became a priest," she said.
After he graduated to work as a priest Peter was sponsored for further studies in Italy.While abroad he received the news about the death of his younger brother.
After a while he also received the death of a older brother who was involved in a road accident.
"My brothers death was not easy to understand especially my parents.It affected their health but accepted and moved on with life," he said.
Since then Peter has decided to serve God despite of his brothers death.
"All my brothers died and I was left alone as Catholic Priest and I will never give up my priesthood," he concluded.
