Christianity is unusual among religions in that it does not have a closely defined purity code. There is not a laundry list of acceptable or forbidden foods. Most of the other major religions have some sort of purity code.
Muslims avoid food that is not killed or cooked in a specific way to make it halal. Hindus do not eat beef, and many Buddhists are complete vegetarians. Here are five forbidden foods in the Bible Christians should avoid.
1.Animal fat
Leviticus 7:23
“Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. You must never eat fat, whether from cattle, sheep, or goats."
2.Pork
Leviticus 11:7
"And the pig, though it has a divided hoof, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you."
3.Vultures and eagles
Leviticus 11:13
"These are the birds you are to regard as unclean and not eat because they are unclean: the eagle, the vulture, the black vulture"
4.Insects
Leviticus 11:23
But all other winged creatures that have four legs you are to detest.
5.Animal Blood
