Bishop Excites Congregants After His Question to Local Politicians

Deputy President William Ruto was accompanied by politicians as he attended a church service in Jomvu Constituency, Mombasa County.

Bishop Lambert Mbela of the Redeemed Gospel Church, Jesus Healing Sanctuary excited the congregants following his question to local leaders who attended the church service together with DP Ruto.

Bishop Mbela when he was done with his sermon asked the politicians from Mombasa whether they will attend next Sunday’s service when Ruto will not be around.

“I am thankful we have visitors, waheshimiwa, and I have welcomed them. But let me ask them, the next Sunday after the deputy president has gone back to Nairobi, mutakuja? (Will you come?). I am only asking, will you come?” said the Bishop amid laughter from the congregants.

Bishop Mbela asked the politicians to attend the next service even if the second in command will not be in Mombasa saying they can seek advice from the preacher.

The Bishop said he will have tea ready for them after the church service as they talk and share knowledge.

“If you come we will welcome you and after the service we will share a cup of tea and talk because the priest’s lips should preserve knowledge and they should seek counsel from me,” said Bishop Mbela.
