We are approaching a special day of the year this month of which many celebrate to the fullest without knowing the true meaning of it.Christmas is one of the enjoyous times of the year, people celebrate together with their relatives and loved ones, share gifts but not putting in mind the true meaning and its origin.

On December 25th, the celebration would have started.Bars and all Recreation centres open to accomodate customers of all kind to eat, take drinks and dance together to enjoy themselves. On this day people forget all their stress and remain joyous without concidering the true meaning.

Most people can tell you the origins of Christmas That it is a remembrance of the birth of Christ. But either that is the extent of their knowledge or they lose sight of this in the busyness of the holiday. Why do we truly celebrate Christmas? Not Santa Claus, or the Christmas tree, or any other of the various traditions wrapped up into Christmas. Why do we celebrate this occasion and its true meaning.

It is predicted in the book of Isaiah that tells, ''For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Councelor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace..''

Mankind waited for the coming of christ, they longed for their king to arrive and free them from sins. The Bible, especially the Old Testament is pointing directly to the one who would save mankind from their sins.Isaiah described His coming as an infant. But this child would grow and astablish a kingdom of righteousness forevermore.

During the very day, we celebrate the moment in history when prophecy was fulfilled God came to be with us because when jesus came, he also left us with the gift of salvation. His birth is significant because of His death, for 33 years He lived a life free from sin so that He could be the perfect sacrificial lamb for the atonement of our sins.

Other verses that tells this include;john 3:16.Christ paid the price on Calvary and overcame death so that we could have victory over sin and condemnation. The baby was placed in the manger after birth, it was not just another birth but the beginning of God's redemotive plan for humanity.

Therefore, you people should know the true meaning of christmas while celebrating, and receive blessings from the almighty God.
