Just in: First Lady Rachel Ruto Conducts Prayers at State House Early Monday Morning

Early Monday morning, Her Excellency the First Lady Rachel Ruto held prayers at State House Nairobi.

She held the weekly prayers at State House a week after she started the programme which she has been in charge of praying for the nation.

Known as one of the most prayerful women in the country, Mrs Ruto has more or less transformed State House into a house of prayer since replacing Margaret Kenyatta a few weeks ago.

In her message on Sunday, the First Lady has noted that our prayers matter. Our voice matters. Our actions matter.

She has quoted the book of Esther 4:14 which says that, "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

She has also noted that God has a purpose for each and every one of us. Esther was aware of and understood her purpose. This morning during our weekly State House Devotion we were reminded that unfathomable peace comes from discovering your destiny and purpose in God. May you have a purposeful week.
