Atheists Breaks Silence After Alfred Mutua's Controversial Comments On Martha Karua

Outgoing Machakos governor Alfred Mutua is in the spotlight following his controversial comments about Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua who also doubles up as the Azimio La Umoja running mate.

While attending a Kenya Kwanza forum in Nakuru, the Machakos County boss alleged that Karua did not believe in God since he had never seen her go to church.

Atheists in Kenya have for the first time spoken about the unfortunate remarks by Mutua and have handed him an ultimatum of 24 hours to come out clean and apologize for his sentiments towards Karua.

They pointed an accusing finger at Mutua for referring to Karua as anti-religion which they felt was discriminatory and inciting against its members and have promised to forward the matter to the National Cohesion and Integration Commission.

The Society's President Harrison Mumia defended Karua and claimed she was qualified to lead the nation whether she was a believer or not and felt Mutua's comments lacked the concept of understanding of religion.
