For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”(Hebrews 8:12)
Sometimes, when we fall into ill luck or when wrong things happen to us, our thoughts always go back to one sin or the other committed in the past and we say "Its because of this sin God is punishing me".
But the truth of the matter is, Jesus has paid for every punishment of sin on the cross for us and God WILL NOT punish you for something Christ has paid for.
God does not have memory of your sins, once forgiven its forgiven, He is not a man. Its the devil that reminds and accuse you. From today, when such ill luck happens, just give thanks to God for all things works for good unto those that love God.
Be like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”(Luke 12:36-37;40).
