In Kenya, you'll not be surprised since everybody has normalized joking with everything including the Holy scriptures. Today, TUKO has highlighted 4 men and a lady who have followers that are convinced that they're real God.
1)Jehovah Wanyonyi- he was the first one to call himself God and managed to convince people especially residents of Chemororoch in Uasin Gishu where he resided. Jehovah Wanyonyi died in 2015 at 91 years of age but his fans were so much convinced that he'll arise and be back hence they are still waiting for his resurrection up to today.
2) Ronald AKA John The Baptist - the husband to 46 wives and father to 289 children recently revealed that he was the real John The Baptist and he baptized Jesus Christ. The 82yrs old comes from Bungoma in Nandolia village.
3) Yesu Wa Tongaren AKA Mwalimu yesu- Mwalimu yesu a father of 8 comes from Bungoma. His wife in a public media revealed that she believes her husband is the real God. Mwalimu yesu has 12 disciples, his children being among them. He recently trended after claiming his life is in danger since his neighbors had threatened to crucify him if he's God.
4) Francis Ouma- he went viral after claiming that he had communicated with God who had granted him his throne and asked him to write the ten commandments in his house to remind Kenyans since they had defied all the rules. He claimed that he's waiting for God's next instructions which might end the world.
5) Mary Akatsa- the self proclaimed god was born in Luanda Vihiga and has her church in Kawangware. She's known for beating congregants who come late or those who don't follow instructions. Mary Akatsa was criticized for claiming God will appear in her church only for barefooted Asian man to show up.
