Boys are transformed into men by undergoing through the knife and are later taught how to be men for the community.



Dr Bonny posted saying, "Ian Ipesa Khalwale gets circumcised joins mates in Irumbi seclusion camp in Malinya.He'll stay here for 50 days. Traditionally this rite of passage is observed in August of even years.It has been tweaked to the long school holidays since August holidays were too short."
