Tragedy as Pastor Imitates Jesus and Buries Man Alive Hoping to Resurrect

In an attempt to replicate Jesus Christ's resurrection, a Zambian pastor and two worshippers buried a member of their church alive. After being buried alive for three days, James Sakara, a member of Zion Church in Chidiza, Zambia, was to be resurrected. Sakara's wish to be buried alive or his pastor's persuasion is unknown at this time. Diamond TV, a Zambian television station, went to the scene of the tragedy and spoke with witnesses and those involved in the story. Pastor Luckson Phiri, one of the three men engaged in the funeral, acknowledged to the TV station that the occurrence occurred.

The pastor and two members of his congregation displayed how they dug a shallow hole for him, bound his hands, and buried him alive. They went back to their regular chores while they awaited his resurrection. They returned to their regular chores while they awaited his resurrection. After the third day of his resurrection had passed, the perplexed pastor and his congregation were obliged to excavate the grave to discover why Jesus had not risen. Sakara was discovered dead. Attempts by the pastor and his congregation to do "spiritual exercises" in an attempt to revive him were useless because their Sakara had already died.
