Kenyan Pastors Who Have Ventured Into Politics

There has always been controversy whenever a spiritual leader decides to mix politics with religion. These spiritual leaders in Kenya have heavily involved in politics. Below are the top two pastors who rank high in Kenyan political circles:

Bishop Margaret Wanjiru

Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, a household name to many Nairobians, runs one of the biggest churches in the country, Jesus Is Alive Ministries.

Wanjiru joined politics in 2007 when she vied for the Starehe Member of Parliament seat which she won. Speaking at the presser, Bishop Wanjiru avowed her support for Sakaja’s bid and vowed to campaign for him UDA.

Bishop Titus Khamala

He is the founding bishop of Cornerstone Ministries in Kakamega and a Member of Parliament for Lurambi Constituency, a position he has held since 2017.

Khamala has kept a simple normal life like riding on a motorcycle to work, driving himself to functions, interacting with wananchi at the market among others.
