3 Reasons Why The Devil And His Angels Can Never Be Forgiven By God

Have you ever wondered if it would have been possible for the devil to ask God for forgiveness and have things return to normal on earth? Perhaps you have imagined how the world would have been if Adam and Eve never fell due to Satan's temptation in the Garden of Eden. Of a truth, it's not possible for all that to happen. The one basic reason for that is because Satan in his pride cannot agree to come to terms with God. That is why God gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ so that through him, all men would be reconciled back to God and still have the "Eden experience" as they live.

It is this pride and rebellion that led to Satan's fall and condemnation. Alongside a third of the angels, they were cast out of heaven by God's angels (Revelation 12:7-9). The following are a few reasons why God can never forgive Satan and his angels:

1. Salvation is only for human beings

Angels cannot be partakers in the salvation that was made possible by Jesus Christ when He died on the cross. Jesus Christ only gave his life for the redemption of mankind and not angelic beings. His death on the cross and resurrection brought salvation to mankind in the sense that he did away with every siege of the devil upon the lives of men.

In addition, when we ask God for forgiveness He is able to forgive us and we are cleansed from our iniquities. He brought victory to mankind and therefore Satan has no authority over our lives as long as we accept Christ as our savior. Therefore, Satan and his angels cannot be redeemed by the blood of Jesus.

2. God's judgement on them is irreversible

The judgement that God pronounced upon the devil and his cohort cannot be cancelled. God made a final say and condemned them because of their rebellion and pride. As a result, they lost their glorius positions in heaven and they await eternal damnation and torment in hell. Jesus actually confessed that hell was created for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41).

3. God can never go against his word

Numbers 23:19 says that God is not a man that he should lie nor the son of man that he should change his mind. When God has said a thing, he makes sure it comes to pass. Because of this, God cannot overturn the verdict that he already made concerning the devil and his angels. Doing so will be digressing which is unheard of in God's domain.

Why else do you think it's impossible for God to forgive the devil and his angels?
